Written by Mariah Barr | Jun 3, 2026 1:00:00 PM

Summer 2026 is almost here, and so is a long list of safety awareness initiatives, fun and informative industry events, and an important DOT compliance registration deadline.

June 2026 Safety Awareness Campaigns

June is National Safety Month. This National Safety Council observance has four themes—one for each week of the month—to raise awareness of on- and off-the-job safety. This year’s focuses are:

  • Moving Safety Forward
  • Staying Safe on the Roads
  • Promoting Holistic Worker Health
  • Preventing Slips, Trips, and Falls

June 7-13 is National Trailer Safety Week, sponsored by the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers. This initiative aims to make roads safer by educating drivers, dealers, and manufacturers on proper trailer practices and raising awareness around trailer safety.

National Ride to Work Day is held on June 9th, representing the high number of diverse motorcyclists regularly taking to the streets. Be sure to drive with extra caution on that day!
